About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Development Manager to spearhead our chemistry and analytical method development, while also overseeing the manufacturing and logistics of our active compound. Reporting directly to the Head of Science & Innovation, you will play a pivotal role in driving the efficient development, production, and distribution of our groundbreaking molecule.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the development of robust analytical methods to ensure the quality of our active compound.
- Lead the chemistry efforts, driving innovation and optimization across the development pipeline.
- Work closely with the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager to support regulatory approval processes.
- Collaborate with production development partners to ensure optimal manufacturing processes, and to establish and monitor SOPs for production and quality control.
- Oversee the shipment and distribution of the active compound to trial partners.
- Identify and mitigate risks efficiently, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
- Manage large-scale projects utilizing advanced tools and methodologies.
- Foster innovation and adapt to the dynamic pace of a fast-growing startup environment.
Additional Responsibilities - Lead the formulation of the active molecule for diverse applications across different product lines.
- Manage the manufacturing process in collaboration with contract partners to ensure efficient production and quality control.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to anticipate and address potential challenges.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
- Extensive experience in chemical manufacturing, analytical methods, and distribution.
- Strong background in risk management, particularly in R&D projects.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical abilities with a meticulous approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving innovation.
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of fostering collaboration and innovation within teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- A valid EU or UK work permit is required.
It is a great plus if you also have:
Experience in the agricultural sector, particularly in sustainability and emissions reduction
